Is dance your chosen vocation?
Did you know that ADV has accredited courses in Classical, Jazz & Tap that you can do for your HSC or OP? Through your accredited adap teacher you can now study classical, jazz or tap in high school and receive 2 or 4 units towards your HSC in NSW and an OP mark (Please contact your high school to find out the exact OP mark allocated per Certificate level i.e. Certificate I, II, III, IV). How does it work?• Have support from your family, your dance teacher and school Principal. • Be studying Classical, Jazz or Tap with an Accredited adap teacher. (Ring ADV for a teacher in your area) • Together with your dance teacher and parents, approach your school Principal asking to do VET in Schools program through ADV. You may need to speak to your VET career advisor. • Notify Australian Dance Vision head office with your Principal and VET coordinators names. • If all information is correct and there are sufficient numbers to make up a class an application will be made to the board of studies in NSW and the Queensland government in QLD. • Wait for confirmation (Note: ADV advises you have other subjects chosen in the event your application is declined) For more information on VET in Schools phone: ADV (02) 9449 4212 | ![]() |
