What is VET?

Vocational Education & Training. Courses accredited by the Vocation Education Training Accreditation Board (VETAB) are now recognised in the state high school systems.

Queensland VET in Schools:

ADV dance qualifications can now be recognised as part of the HSC). Specifically Certificate II in Dance Performance Studies 91250NSW studied over years 11 & 12 in NSW will be a 2 or 4 unit category b subject. (i.e. not counted towards a UAI).

Queensland VET in Schools

The Queensland government recognises accredited courses Certificates I-IV in Dance Performance Studies and Certificate IV in Dance Teaching & Management as being counted towards high school students OP.

What to Look for!!

Making sure you receive the best training!

Before you start any training program find out the following:

• Is the training provider a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)?

• Will the qualification you get be recognised all over Australia?

Look out for this logo, the Nationally Recognised Training logo ANTA

Applications need to be made to the Board of studies regarding VET in Schools. If you are interested make sure the dance teacher is ADV/adap accredited and that you have support from your school Principal. Then contact the office directly on 9449 4212
