This is more than just a teacher training course! ADi has developed a flexible and cost effective course that will provide you with a nationally recognised vocational qualification and also equip you with real skills for Dance Teaching & Management sets a standard of excellence that prepares you to know how to teach, what to teach and how to establish yourself as a professional and commercially successful small business owner.

Certificate IV in Dance Teaching & Management will assist you in becoming a confident, responsible and professional dance teacher. This accessible dance teaching qualification will allow you to benefit from flexible 'on the job' training and the self paced learning will work in conjunction with your own life style and teaching commitments.

Course Details

 Certificate IV in Dance Teaching & Management is a competency based modular course and is attained by distance learning and a practical workshop in the dance style of choice. The course can be completed part time or full time.

Eligibility: Students must have a minimum of Major 2/Elementary/Intermediate standard  (or equivalent please enquire), in dance style of choice be over 16 yrs of age and members of ADV or an ADi affiliated association.

 Location: The course is studied primarily by distance learning plus a short intensive practical 3-4 day workshop. Attendance is compulsory. Workshops will be located in NSW, VIC, & QLD, dependant on enrolments, dates will be advised in advance.

 

RPL: Skills recognition of prior learning offers the opportunity to gain credit for the work, life & learning experiences that have contributed to your professional life as a dance teacher.

 

Skills recognition means that the skills and knowledge you already have through informal learning may count towards a nationally recognised qualification or statement of attainment. visit Skills Recognition for more information or call ADV.

 

Length of Course: 1 year complete course or 2 years stream by stream.

 

Individual Streams: Candidates may also complete individual streams and receive a 'statement of attainment' for example completion of the Business Stream units only.

 

Other Dance Styles & Societies: ADi can adapt the Certificate IV in Dance Teaching & Management course to suit other dance styles and other societies.

Commencement Dates

As a distance learning course students can usually commence at any time. However, to structure administration efficiently, commencement dates are set by student demand with up to four intake dates throughout the year.
