About ADV and ADi

Australian Dance Vision (ADV) is a member based non-profit Dance  Organisation. ADV is a corporate affiliate of the Australian Dance Institute (ADi)

ADV is the original creator of what was called the Australian Dance Assessment Programme (adap), now maintained by Adi as the ADV-ADi syllabus, a creative, flexible and distinctly Australian dance teaching and assessment methodology developed by professional teachers with backgrounds in most professional dance teaching associations to provide a new "holistic" approach to train dancers and teachers to an international level.

AUSTRALIAN DANCE iNSTITUTE (ADi) Is a new concept in "open access" dance education. It is  a Registered Training Organisation (RTO ID 442169) and was formed to provide a support group for all affiliated organisations, teachers and dance schools.  It is a provider of  nationally accredited courses and resources in dance training and professional development in the industry. It  provides an umbrella auspicing group for RTO compliance and support. Its mission is  also to help educate private dance teachers, schools  and associations in coming to grips with existing and new National Standards under the Australian Quality Training Framework - AQTF. In this role it is also a reference group working with Government in conveying the needs of the small to medium dance industry providers. ADi has a particular mission in encouraging and supporting dance education in small business generally, and particularly in remote and regional Australia, as an added contribution to provision of employment opportunites by contributing to the local economic and cultural landscape in these areas. The primary aim of both ADV and Adi is to be the premiere dance education organisations for students and teachers in Australia. We are committed to developing the creative potential of teachers and students, creating employment for teachers, dancers, and assessors and to ensure that all funds remain in Australia.

ADV and Adi are required to meet government legislative and regulatory specifications as well as quality administration and recording processes. Vocational training articulates with higher education and has parity with tertiary educational institutions. ADi has mutual recognition in all states and territories in Australia for Certificates I-IV in Dance Performance Studies & Certificate IV in Dance Teaching & Management. Enquiries  are welcome.
