VET in Schools - Parents

Students studying ADV-ADi Certificate II in Dance Performance Studies (DPS) for VET in Schools are exposed to vocational education and training as well as practical learning throughout the course. The course also includes academic components such as Body Science, Dance History and a Career Advice session.
Certificate III & IV in DPS follow on from the Certificate II course and can lead to Dance Teaching qualification & many other dance opportunities outlined in the career advice session.
VET in Schools is the HSC dance opportunity students have been waiting for! As the Registered Training Organisation ADi offers 2 or 4 unit dance subjects in Ballet, Jazz & Tap. By completing two levels from the ADV-ADi syllabus, students will receive a Certificate II in Dance Performance Studies nationally recognised qualification and 4 units towards their HSC in NSW in their chosen style of dance.
Queensland students are eligible to study Certificates I, II, III, IV and have the qualification count towrds their OP.
State Governments in conjunction with the Federal Government are in the process of reviewing all secondary school pre- and vocational course "points" to state secondary school certificates. Contact head office for more information
